Location
We are located 3 miles south of the picturesque market town of Market Bosworth.
Please refer to the ‘Where To Find Us’ map for directions.

Special needs
Please let us know in advance if your students have any special requirements. We will do all we can to meet their needs.

Worksheets
A visit to Bosworth can be used to support a number of national curriculum key stages and subjects. There are a range of activities to choose from which will ensure you are able to meet your curriculum needs.

New for 2010 - The Bosworth Education Team has worked with teachers visiting the site to produce three fun and educational worksheets to complement school visits for Key Stage 2 and 3. The worksheets have received great feedback from teachers and pupils alike, and are a great resource to enhance learning and assist understanding of the topic.

If you have any questions about your visit, or would like to place particular emphasis on one area or the curriculum, please contact a member of the Education Team who will be happy to discuss your requirements with you.

Risk assessment
A full site risk assessment of activities to be undertaken at Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre and Country Park will be sent to your school/organisation prior to your visit. Your school/organisation must undertake your own risk assessment based on individual students undertaking the activities identified in the ‘site’ risk assessment.

First Aid
A site first aid risk assessment has been completed which includes provision for visitors to the site. However, due to the nature of the site, schools and groups are required to bring their own first aider and relevant equipment with them. The site first aid point is in the Heritage Centre Office which is located in the courtyard.

Fire and evacuation
A full fire risk assessment has been completed for the Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre. In the event of a fire, our staff will direct you via the safest route to the fire assembly point.

Pre-visits
We encourage all teachers to make a free familiarisation visit to the site, either with colleagues or with your family (maximum of 2 adults and 2 children). There is no need to pre-book, just bring along proof of your school or organisation ID to the main Ticket Office. If you would like to speak to a member of staff as part of your pre-visit please contact the Education Team in advance to arrange a convenient time.

Shop
The Gift Shop at Bosworth sells a wide range of gifts and souvenirs suitable for all ages, from pocket money items to bespoke merchandise. A pre-order service is also available. Please telephone for further details.

Joint visits with Donington le Heath Manor House
Your group can do a joint visit with Donington le Heath Manor House
(20 minutes away from Bosworth) and spend half a day at each site.

At Bosworth you are able to choose from a wide list of activities.

At Donington your group will meet costumed interpreters who will explain their life and work inside the Tudor house as your students take part in a variety of hands on activities.
