A 1 1/4 mile (2km) walk with one of Bosworth's knowledgeable and experienced guides, bringing the events of the Battle of Bosworth to life. Click on the month above to see more details.

Experienced walkers with a penchant for history can join our expert guides and enjoy Bosworth Battlefield's extended 7.5 mile (12k) walk. Providing all aspects of the environment surrounding this pivotal battle of the Wars of the Roses. No dogs. Please provide your own lunch and refreshments. Knights of the Crusades

Come and join Bosworth’s Re-enactors as they bring to life the history of the Knights Templars. Hear stories of chivalry and treachery from knights afresh from the crusades.

Wider Battlefield Walk

An exclusive opportunity to walk across the newly relocated Bosworth Battlefield with our expert guides. The walk takes visitors into the heart of the Battlefield as well as Battle related sites, such as Crown Hill, Dadlington Church and King Dick's Well. All these sites will be discussed within the context of the fascinating wider natural and historic environment with its canal, railway line, ecological and archaeological sites of interest. The route takes the walker through the area of the rout, the cannonball scatter and even through the field in which king Richard may have died. The commentary of the guides will paint a vivid picture of the action seen on these fields on the 22nd August 1485.

The walk is 7.5miles (12km) in length and is suitable for experienced walkers over 12 years only. Pre-booking is essential and sorry, dogs are not permitted due to proximity to livestock. Please provide your own lunch and refreshments.

Fathers Day Falconry

Just for Dads! This one hour Falconry experience will be limited to 15 dads and includes a bottle of Bosworth Beer to take home. Plenty of bird handling and you are welcome to come and take photos of dads time with us.

A Midsummer Night's Dream

An open air performance of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream by the highly acclaimed Festival Players Theatre Company.

Please feel free to bring a picnic and your own seating. Car Parks and Arena open from 5.30pm with performance at 7.00pm. The Tithe Barn Resturant will be open from 5.30pm to 8.30pm for hot & cold drinks, snacks and a full Bar, including the interval.

New Painting of Richard III Unveiled

The latest painting by renowned artist Graham Turner, featuring Richard III at the Battle of Bosworth, will be unveiled in the Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Room.

Saturday 29th June From 12noon in the Heritage Room.
Sunday 30th June 11.00am till 4.00pm in the Heritage Room.

Entry to Heritage Room is free.

Illustrated talk

At 5pm on the 29th Graham will give a fascinating illustrated talk about his work on the new painting of Richard III and other Wars of the Roses themed subjects, as well as his experiences as a fully armoured competitor in medieval tournaments around the world.

Come and experience the spectacular battle re-enactment. Witness the death of Richard III, the last of the Plantagenet kings and the birth of the powerful Tudor dynasty.
