The owlet is the latest addition to the bird of prey collection at Bosworth Battlefield run by Hawkwise Falconry.
The bird which is captive bred will be wowing visitors with displays at the Heritage centre once he becomes a fully-fledged member of the flying team, which should be by the summer holidays.
The owlet will become part of the Hawkwise flying team, which includes other native birds such as Becky the Buzzard, Beth the Sparrowhawk, Kip the Kestrel and Mary the Merlin. Hands on Hawks events run most weekends at the Battlefield Heritage Centre.
We hope to have the owlet ready for display work by the beginning of the school summer holidays when we will be running a number of hands-on interactive events. We also provide fun and informative education sessions for all ages both at the Heritage Centre and at schools too.”Hawkwise "Hands on Hawks" Events 2010
